Troubleshooting Issues with the Windows Wireless Client

Microsoft Windows Wireless client isn’t able to recognize any local wireless networks

You need to disable the AEGIS Protocol in the Network Connections. Click Start > Network Connections. Right click the wireless network connection and select Properties. On the General tab, uncheck the AEGIS Protocol box and click the OK button. You must reboot your machine for the change to take effect.

"Windows cannot configure this wireless connection...Turn on Windows Zero Configuration" message

If you receive the message above, Click Start > Run, type the command services.msc, and click the OK button. In the Services window, scroll down until you find Window Zero Configuration. Right click the item and choose Start. If Start is grayed out, select Properties and enable the card, and then choose Start.
