Certificate Troubleshooting
The Thawte Premium Server CA certificate is necessary to connect to the UI Wireless network. If you are having trouble connecting to the network, you may have a certificate conflict or the certificate may be missing. See the instructions below for removing an expired certificate. Click here for instructions to verify the certificate exists and download and install the certificate, if it is missing.
Expired Certificate Conflict
An expired certificate may reside on your computer in the Intermediate Certification Authorities tab in Internet Explorer. The AEGIS protocol (used by both the AEGIS client software and the Intel PROSet software) eventually checks the Intermediate Certification Authorities, finds the expired certificate and breaks your connection, whether you use Internet Explorer or not. If you initially log on to the UI Wireless network and then are disconnected after a few minutes, check the Intermediate Certification Authorities and remove the Thawte Premium Server CA certificate.
Note: The Thawte Premium Server CA is in other locations and necessary to be able to connect to the wireless network. Only remove the expired certificate in the Intermediate Certification Authorities using Internet Explorer.
