Troubleshooting Issues with the Intel PROSet Software
Unknown authentication status
If you receive an Unknown authentication status error, check to be sure the AEGIS protocol is enabled in the Network Connections. Click Start > Network Connections. Right click the wireless network connection and select Properties. On the General tab, check the AEGIS Protocol box and click the OK button. You must reboot your machine for the change to take effect.
Authentication failed
If you receive an Authenticated failed error, you may have a configuration error (wrong certificate, misspelled server name, etc) or a bad password. Review the Intel PROSet configuration instructions and be sure all of the settings are correct. To re-enter your credentials, you must log off of Windows and log back on.
Certificate Conflict
If you initially log on to the UI Wireless network and then are disconnected after a few minutes, it could be a certificate conflict. Check the Intermediate Certification Authorities and remove the Thawte Premium Server CA certificate using Internet Explorer as described here.
