Cisco Secure Services Client Installation
UI Wireless uses the Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol (PEAP) protocol to give our users a greater level of security. The University has licensed the Cisco Secure Services client software (formerly known as Meetinghouse AEGIS) that will allow most wireless cards to access our network. The Cisco Secure Services software is available through the ITS Software Download site. The software installer contains all of the settings needed to access our network; all you need to do is download and run the installer. Before you begin, make sure your wireless card is inserted and that the drivers are properly installed.
Please Note: The Cisco Secure Services client will disable the Windows wireless connection management software. If you have other networks configured on your computer, you will need to set up those networks in the Cisco Secure Services client. Instructions for this are available on the Cisco Secure Services Client Configuration for Non-UI Wireless Network page.
- Click the Secure Services Client installation file.

- You may get a warning about an Unknown Pulbisher. ITS has tested the file and it is safe to run.

- The Cisco Secure Services Client install wizard will start.

- Select "I accept the terms in the license agreement" and click next.

- No changes are needed for the rest of the wizard. Click Next, Next, Install, Finish and then reboot.
All of the configuration settings are included in the installation file. After restarting your computer, you will be prompted to log on to the UI Wireless network using your Hawk ID and password when you are in range of the UI Wireless network.
Note: If your computer is joined to the Active Directory domain and you used the Active Directory installer, the Cisco Secure Services client will automatically log you on to the UI Wireless network using your Windows logon credentials (your Hawk ID and password).
