Adding a Trusted Site to Service Pack 2's Popup Blocker

Once you have installed Windows Service Pack 2, it will automatically enable the Pop-up Blocker, which prevents annoying (and possibly harmful) pop-up ads from being displayed in Internet Explorer.  However, you do have the option to allow Trusted Sites to be shown.  For example, if you download the files from a specific website frequently, and do not wish to "allow access" to download each time you visit the site, you can add it to your Trusted Sites list.  In order to do this, please follow the steps below.

1.    To access your Trusted Sites list, launch Internet Explorer and select Tools | Internet Options.

Tools Menu

2.    Click on the Privacy tab at the top of the window to view your Privacy Settings.  Click on the Settings... button in order to modify your Trusted Sites list.

Privacy Tab

3.    Enter the address of the website you wish to add to your Trusted Sites and click Add.

Trusted Sites

4. Click Close and OK to return to Internet Explorer.
