Windows XP Service Pack 2 Overview

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) is the latest major update to the Windows XP operating system.  This update focuses primarily on security in response to the number of attacks that Windows XP has had in over the last year.  Additions include:

• The Security Center - This brings together information about your anti-virus software, the Windows Firewall and your Internet options in one easy to manage location
• The Windows Firewall - An upgrade to the Internet Connection Firewall
• Internet Explorer Upgrades - Pop-up blocking and plug-in management is installed by default.

All of these features plus more help Service Pack 2 make Windows XP secure against many attacks on the Internet.
