UI Anywhere - Web VPN
The Web VPN allows you to securely connect to University of Iowa resources through a web browser. The Web VPN can be an advantage over the Cisco AnyConnect client when you need to access UI resources from a public computer or when you do not have rights to install or do not wish to install the client program on a computer.
The UI Anywhere Web VPN provides the following functionality:

Web Applications |
Links to UI web resources that are available directly through UI Anywhere Web VPN. Click the Web Applications icon in the menu bar to browse UI web sites through UI Anywhere or see the Web Applications instructions for additional information. |
Network Shares |
Provides access to your personal and departmental network drives, often referred to as the H drive and L drive, respectively.. Click the Network Shares icon in the menu bar and enter the path to access your H drive or L drive. See the Network Shares instructions for additional information. |
SSH Servers

Provides browser access to corporate terminal servers Click the SSH Servers icon in the menu bar to start the SSH session or see the SSH Servers instructions for additional information. |
Remote Desktop |
Provides access to another work station through the VPN. Click the Remote Desktop icon in the menu bar to start a remote desktop session or see the Remote Desktop instructions for additional information. |
AnyConnect
|
Download and install the AnyConnect client for VPN access without opening a web browser. Click the AnyConnect icon in the menu bar to install the AnyConnect client or see the AnyConnect instructions for additional information. |
