Getting Microsoft Windows Vista

Windows Vista media is available to University of Iowa students via the Microsoft Campus Agreement at a greatly discounted rate through the IMU Bookstore. Please visit the IMU Bookstore's web site for pricing and availability of the Windows Vista media. In addition, Microsoft Vista is now available to University of Iowa students through the ITS Help Desk's Software Services Group (installs only, no media).

Before upgrading yourself or bringing your computer to the ITS Help Desk to have your operating system upgraded to Vista, you'll want to be sure to review the minimum and suggested requirements for Vista, as well as back up all of your personal files (documents, music, pictures, etc. - see the ITS Help Desk Personal Data Backup support center for more information).

For departmental use, Windows Vista media is available through your departmental licensing contacts.
