Checking Your Version of Symantec/Norton AntiVirus

Follow the directions below to check your version of Symantec or Norton AntiVirus.

Windows

1. Double click on the shield icon in the system tray in the lower-right corner of your screen to open Symantec AntiVirus.
   
   
   

2. In the Program versions area of the information page, check the version number for the Program.  You will want to make sure you are running version 10.1.0.401 or above to be sure your version is secure.  If you have an older version, please review the system requirements and download the appropriate version at the Software Download Site.
   
   

Macintosh

1. Go to your Applications folder and look for Symantec AntiVirus or Norton AntiVirus and double click to open it. (The example below displays the Norton AntiVirus product.)
   
   
   

2. Go to the Symantec/Norton AntiVirus menu and select About Symantec/Norton AntiVirus.
   
   
   

3. Check the Version number on this screen.  You will want to make sure you are running version 9.0.2 or above to be sure your version is secure.  If you have an older version, please review the system requirements and download the appropriate version at the Software Download Site.
