About the Citrix Client for Mac OS X
The Citrix client for Mac OS X is installed locally on your Mac. This differs from connecting to applications via the Virtual Desktop Web Interface and the Citrix client for Java. For instructions on how to configure the Citrix client for Java, click here. For a description of the differences between the two clients, see this article.
If you would like a more integrated method of connecting to a smaller number of Virtual Desktop applications on a regular basis, you should use the Citrix client for Mac OS X.
Installation Instructions
- First you will need to download version 10.x (Universal binary) of the Citrix client for Mac OS X from Citrix’s website.
- Once the installer file is downloaded, double click to run it. Then, double click the ICA client icon shown below.

- Click Continue.
- Select the drive where you'd like to install the ICA Client files. Click Continue.

- Click the Install button.


The Citrix client for Mac OS X is now installed.
