About the Citrix Client for Mac OS X

The Citrix client for Mac OS X is installed locally on your Mac. If you are using it for the first time, you should first read this article about how the client works.

ICA Files are created to define a Virtual Desktop application to which you would like to connect. You can define individual settings for each ICA files according to what is appropriate for that application.

7. Your ICA file is ready to save to the desktop of your Mac. Since you have previously defined your default settings, the ICA file will use those settings. If desired, you may define settings in the Security, Connection Properties, Window and Applications tabs that you want to apply to just this ICA file. Click SAVE in the lower right corner of the Citrix ICA Client Editor and select the directory to which you would like the ICA file saved. To connect to your Virtual Desktop application, simple double-click the ICA file as through it were an alias to a program that is installed locally on your Mac.
