Creating Web Sites
The Creating Web Sites course teaches students how to design web sites for the University setting. This includes designing for standards based layouts including HTML and CSS standards. Sites designed in this course will also meet Section 508 standards for accessiblity. The primary tool used during the course is Adobe Dreamweaver to build static web sites. Other topics taught include:
- Site Management
- Web Design Themes
- and Basic Graphic Elements
Note: The Creating Web Sites course was developed to create a skills training program for students interested in working for the University doing web design as a student employee. With that in mind, priority is given to underclass students who might be able to stay with a department for a number of years.
The course is taught semester long meeting for a 2 hour session each week. Interested students can use the application form to apply.
