&lt;p&gt;The expected duration for the outage is 5 minutes, however 30 minutes is requested to cover contingencies.&amp;nbsp; Network connectivity from the Quad ITC to the campus network, as well as the Internet will be disrupted during the outage.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Update 8/20/2009:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Healthcare users of Virtual Desktop should use their HawkID and password to access Virtual Desktop.&amp;nbsp; Virtual Desktop will map to their Iowa domain home drive for file storage.&amp;nbsp; Any files on their Healthcare domain home or shared drive can be moved over to their Iowa domain file space for access via Virtual Desktop.&amp;nbsp;Until departmental shared drive issues are resolved, there is a legacy Virtual Desktop link for Healthcare users temporarily available on the Virtual Desktop web site.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;UI Healthcare users are able to log in to Virtual Desktop but are temporarily not able to access to their home and departmental drives.&amp;nbsp;ITS is&amp;nbsp;working on the issue.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The service will remain up during this time, but users who access the applications listed below during the maintenance window may experience issues with login, requiring them to re-login to a federated application, or possibly delete a browser cookie with the name &quot;_idp_session&quot;.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We expect the work to take approximately a half hour but have scheduled a full hour for contingencies.&lt;/p&gt;

			        &lt;strong&gt;Details:&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;p&gt;ITS will be performing maintenance on network equipment pertaining to the buildings listed below on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The expected duration for the outage is 10-20 minutes per site, however the full 90 minutes is requested to cover contingencies.&amp;nbsp; Network connectivity from these sites to the campus network, as well as the Internet will be disrupted during the outage.&lt;/p&gt;
