Windows XP Setup for Remote Access
To setup your Remote Access on Windows XP, please follow the directions below:
1. From your desktop, click on Start | Control Panel
2. Make sure that you are viewing your control panel in "category view". If the screen shot below does not look like your control panel, click on "switch to category view" in the upper left corner. once in category view, select Network and Internet Connections.

3. Now select Set up or change your Internet connection

4. From the Internet Properties window, select Setup

5. Once you are in the Internet connection wizard, click Next
6. Select Connect to the Internet and click next

7. Select Set up my connection manually and click next

8. Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click next

9. Type in a name for the connection and click next

10. Type in a phone number. When you've entered the number, click next

Note: Customers are responsible for all charges incurred through the phone company. Please check with your local phone company to make sure that the number you are using to connect to remote access will not include additional long distance or local usage charges. Customers are responsible for all charges.
11. Enter a your hawkid followed by @ui in the username box. Then enter your hawkid password. Click next

12. If you would like Windows XP to place an icon for the connection on your desktop, click on the checkbox. Then click Finish. Double click on the connection and click on connect to dial up to the Internet.
