How to Print to an iPrint Printer from a Macintosh Computer

ITC PrintingBefore you can print to an iPrint printer from your personal computer, you must have downloaded and installed the ITC Printing Client software on your computer and configured the printer connection. If you have not yet done that, go back to the iPrint instructions page.

Once the ITC Printing Client software has been downloaded and installed on your Mac and you have configured the printer connection, you can print to an ITC printer.

  4. After clicking Print you will be prompted for your Hawk ID and password.  This process will authenticate you to the ITC Printing system for the amount of time you specify in the drop-down list.  (For security reasons, the default is For this job only.  You can change this if desired).

  5. The Print Job Notification will display grayscale/color information, estimated page count and estimated cost.  Click either the Print or Cancel button.  The Print button will send the print job to the printer and your account will be charged accordingly.  The Cancel button will delete the print job and no charges will be applied.

  6. If successful, the ITC Printing system will display the following message acknowledging receipt of your print job and notifying you that the print job is being held in a Print Release queue.

    Release Note

Note: You will have 24 hours to pick up the printed document.  After 24 hours the print job will be deleted and your account will not be charged.  Also, in rare circumstances it is possible for print jobs to be lost during server reboots or outages.  If a print job is lost due to server issues it will NOT be billed to your ITC Printing account.  If a server issue occurs (planned or otherwise) it will be reported on the ITS Help Desk Outages page.

  7. To retrieve your print job, please visit the appropriate location and release it using the print release instructions.
