HostExplorer 2008 Certificate Error
Note: You must have administrative rights on the computer to perform the following.
After installing HostExplorer 2008, some users receive one or more of the the following errors:
Could not establish SSL connection
Connection refused on this port by host
Unable to locate IP Host/Gateway

To fix this problem:

Open the Internet Explorer web browser.

Click on Tools – Internet Options – Content tab.

Click on the Certificates button.

Click Intermediate Certification Authorities tab and remove any out of date Thawte certificates.

Now double-click on the Hummingbird Neighborhood icon on your desktop.

Right-click on the ITS Admin SSL and choose Properties.

On the left-hand side, click on Security – SSL/TLS.

On the right-hand side at the bottom, click on Certificates and Keys Manager.

Click on Certificates.

Click on Server or Intermediate Certification Authorities.

On the right hand side, look for any Thawte certificates that have an old expiration date. Either right-click on the expired certificate and choose Delete or click once to highlite and click the X icon to delete it.

Click the red X to close this window. Click Ok. You can now double-click on ITS Admin SSL to connect using HostExplorer.
