UI Red Hat Network Service

Note: Red Hat Enterprise Linux Version 5 (RHEL5) was released on 3/14/2007. The ITS plan for this release and more information can be found here.

The University of Iowa Red Hat Network (RHN) service is a web-based interface that allows University departments to manage their Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems. Some of the benefits of using the UI RHN service include:

Red Hat licenses negotiated for the entire University.
Install, erase, and update RPMs for a group of systems.
Receive e-mail notifications of new errata applicable to a group of systems.
Access to Red Hat RPMs stored on a campus machine.
