Accessing Hawkmail E-Mail from Off Campus using Entourage 2004
1. In Entourage, go to Tools, then select Accounts from the list.
2. In that window, click New.
3. In the window that pops up click on the “Configure Account Manually” button.
4. Select IMAP from the drop down list. Then click OK
5. Fill in the account information.
- The Account ID is your Hawk ID
- The password is your Hawk ID password
- The IMAP server is email.uiowa.edu
- The SMTP server will depend on your internet provider. Some of these are listed at http://helpdesk.its.uiowa.edu/support/isp.htm.
6. Click the button “Click here for advanced receiving options” and select the first checkbox to make the account use a secure setting. Then click OK in the full window and close the accounts window.
You should now be able to check your Hawkmail account through Entourage.
