ITS Help Desk Web Site Redesign
The ITS Help Desk Web site has been redesigned to incorporate fresh new colors, a new banner, and additional functionality and features. Though the colors may have changed, the site retains the navigational tabs that allow you to quickly access Support and Security information, Get Software or Get A Computer, and learn about and maintain your Hawk ID and password. Read on for more information about the new features of the site.
Known Issues Notification Box
In addition to the Current Outages and Planned Outages notification boxes on the left side of main Help Desk page, we have added a notification box for Known Issues. Known Issues are situations that are not full outages, but may require a work around or might create intermittent problems from time to time. Known Issues are known to ITS and are either under investigation or have a plan in place to be resolved.
Support Tab
Two Help Desk navigational tabs from the previous site have been consolidated into one -- Support -- to reduce confusion and redundancy. Under the Support tab you will find links to the services and software applications that ITS supports. If you want to learn more about a service or application, need ins02/27/2006are having problems using a service or application, the Support tab is the place to look. In addition to the main view of the Support page, you can quickly navigate to find application-specific Instructions or printable Handouts using the links at the top of the page.
ITS Computer Demo Center Authentication
Under the Get a Computer tab you can find special pricing and computer configurations made available only to University of Iowa students, faculty, and staff. To view these specials and discounts from our vendor partners, you will need to sign-in to the ITS Computer Demo Center using your domain, Hawk ID, and password.
