5/26/2006 - Potential Exploit in Symantec AntiVirus Products

Symantec has announced a potential vulnerability in several of their products that could allow for a malicious attack on an affected computer. Symantec has released IPS signatures to protect against such attacks and suggests customers run LiveUpdate to make sure the signatures have been applied. 5/26/2006 - MyCitrix + Virtual ITC = Virtual Desktop

MyCitrix (web-based access to applications for faculty/staff) and Virtual ITC (web-based access to applications for students) have been merged into Virtual Desktop, a single point of web-based software access for all University of Iowa faculty, staff, and students. The Virtual Desktop service offers access to a variety of applications from any computer with a modern web browser and Internet connection. ITS Software Central provides access to and information about software available to University of Iowa students, faculty, departments, and staff. Visit Software Central to download free or purchase discounted software for your computer, or to find out about the extensive list of software applications available in campus computer labs and over the Internet.
