3/30/2006 - ITS Offering Free E-mail Classes in April
ITS Campus Services is offering free e-mail classes in April, including Top Ten Tips for E-mail and More at the University of Iowa. This class includes information on using your standard University e-mail address, protecting your computer from spyware and viruses, reducing the amount of spam you receive, and accessing your e-mail from mobile devices, among other topics. Classes on Microsoft Outlook calendaring and e-mail for both new and advanced users are also scheduled. No registration is required for students, and faculty/staff can register through the HR Self Service site. 3/28/2006 - Symantec AntiVirus 10.0.1 Available for Windows Vista
Symantec has provided a version of their Corporate Edition AntiVirus software that is tweaked to run on Windows Vista Pre-release builds. It should be noted that this software is not a beta version of Symantec's software that will be specifically designed to run on Windows Vista. There is no support currently available for this software either through Symantec or through the ITS Help Desk, but if you wish to get more information you may visit this site. 3/10/2006 - ITS Help Desk Spring Break Hours
The ITS Help Desk will be open from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday during Spring Break (March 11th - March 19th). The Help Desk will resume regular hours on Monday, March 20th.
