9/23/2004 - Windows Security Risk

A severe security vulnerability has been found on Windows which will allow unprotected computers to get infected through a JPEG image. Patches for both Windows and Office for this specific vulnerability can be found at http://www.microsoft.com/security/bulletins/200409_jpeg.mspx. NOTE: This exploit does not affect Service Pack 2, however SP2 users need to upgrade their Office Software still.

8/9/2004 - AEGIS Client

ITS is happy to release the Aegis client for UI Wireless. This is software that will allow access to many different cards beyond the current supported trio of Cisco Aironet, Intel Centrino, and Apple Airport. Along with the release, UI Wireless will be transitioning to a new protocol called TTLS which offers enhanced security and more options for the future of the wireless network. Get the software in the Software Download Center and get the latest instructions in the Wireless Support center.

8/2/2004 - Changes to UI Wireless for Macs

Attention Mac users! UI Wireless will transition to a new protocol beginning Monday, August 9^th. In order to prevent a disruption of service, Mac users will need to reconfigure their laptops to use the new protocol. More information can be found at:
