Microsoft has identified a potential security vulnerability in Outlook Web Access (OWA) and has recommended administratively disabling WebReady document viewing until a patch is available.  WebReady document viewing allows you to preview certain attachments in a web page through OWA (http://email.uiowa.edu). 

ITS disabled WebReady document viewing for OWA on August 1, in accordance with Microsoft’s recommendation.  Attachments will still be delivered and can be downloaded and viewed through the appropriate application.  Only the web preview feature has been disabled.

ITS will re-enable WebReady document viewing in OWA once a patch has been provided and applied.
